July 1, 1999-June 30, 2000

  • Define project feasibility, scope, and requirements
  • Determine background data availability
  • Installation: select study sites, locate transects, and determine sampling protocol
  • Data collection: Begin temperature, hydraulic, and preliminary water quality data collection
  • Analysis: aerial photos, historic flows, topographic maps, habitat types and categories, reach selection, biological species availability and location, existing habitat suitability curves, and community information

July 1, 2000-June 30, 2001

  • Data collection: continue hydraulic and temperature data collection, and begin habitat data collection
  • Analysis: determine target species and fish sampling protocol, begin calibration of hydraulic model
  • Community involvement: begin discussions with water users on type of model output and use

July 1, 2001-June 30, 2002

  • Data Collection: continue hydraulic, habitat, and temperature data collection
  • Analysis: continue calibration of hydraulic model; begin development of suitability curves, habitat modeling, and transferability testing of habitat suitability curves
  • Community involvement: continue discussions with stakeholders on type of model output and use

July 1, 2002-June 30, 2003

  • Data Collection: Complete data collection
  • Analysis: complete calibration of hydraulic and habitat models, conduct time series analysis of hydrologic and habitat data
  • Community involvement: finalize discussions with stakeholders on type of model output and use
  • June 2003: Complete analysis of output and final report
